Ukraine has announced that six Russian ports in the Black Sea are now under military threat. The areas include internal and external raids of the ports of Anapa, Novorossiysk, Gelendzhik, Tuapse, Sochi, and Taman. Essentially, this announcement indicates Ukraine’s intention to sink any Russian ships in these locations, including oil and grain tankers. The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) need not target every enemy ship directly. Instead, they have tactfully implied their capability to disrupt sea transport in Russian waters, which inherently increases transportation and insurance costs, leading to a rise in the final price of products.
