Breaking News Alert: Russia and Belarus Excluded from UN Draft Resolution on Ukraine

New York (RichTVX.com) — The United Nations has drafted a resolution on the anniversary of the war in Ukraine, aimed at preserving the country’s “sovereignty, independence, unity, and territorial integrity.” The draft, proposed by supporters of Ukraine, is more comprehensive than Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s peace plan but less detailed. The UN General Assembly is set to resume its emergency session on Ukraine on February 22nd, followed by a vote on the resolution the next day. The General Assembly has become the central UN body addressing the situation in Ukraine, as the Security Council’s efforts have been blocked by Russia’s veto power. The draft resolution has been circulated among all UN member states, excluding Russia and Belarus, and calls for Russia to immediately withdraw its armed forces from Ukrainian territory. It also calls for a full exchange of prisoners of war, the release of those held illegally, and the return of forcibly displaced and deported civilians to their home country.
